Costume and Props

This is a sketch of the outfit the female cover model will be wearing, which is all her own clothes which helps with costs. The outfit it cool and edgy, yet still realistic; rock magazines are generally more about the music and attitude rather than outrageous Lady Gaga style outfits. The colours give off a grungy impression, and the models red hair also adds a rebellious and colourful element.

This is the jacket that the female model on the front cover will be wearing. Leather jackets are particularly fashionable at the moment, meaning that the audience will aspire towards the model, and also suits the rock nature of the magazine and the band.

This is how the model will be wearing her make up on the day of the shoot. The smokey eyes and bright lipstick give the model a very feminine look, yet still give her an edgy and rock style.
This video shows the process I will use to achieve the smokey eye look;

These are my costume ideas for the model on the double page spread. Again the leather jacket is an iconic rock piece of clothing, and the grey worn jeans also add to this look. The sunglasses are typical of high status celebrities, and considering the article is to be about a rock star who has recently left his band, this is very fitting. The look I am aiming for for this model is similar to that of Bono of U2, as he has a very iconic rock look.
